As girls, we pick ourselves apart. Society has a way of telling us what to wear and how a girl/women should physically represent herself. I think NOT! When I was younger, I use to fall victim to society's upkeeps. I came out that bubble fast. It was to much work to have people or anyone tell me what my style is, which can lead to self-esteem issues. Put on makeup and always wear it, or even tell me how to dress. I MAKE THE RULES when it comes to my style. That's what makes me, me.
When I had my daughters, I knew for sure that I was going to teach them the same thing. Lead by example, and let a girl know that its okay to be different. It's okay not to keep up with society must do's and don'ts. When the American singer-songwriter and musician Alicia Keys decided not to wear any makeup anymore, it was an eye-opener for myself and for many girls/ women. Beauty does not define how pretty your face is covered up. Although I am one who does wear makeup, I DECIDE when, where and how long.
I Make The Rules! Beauty & Brains! Just Call Me Pretty! This goes for all girls.
